LE DIFESE

Cabernet Sauvignon blends with the Tuscan character of Sangiovese

Le Difese

An introduction to the style of Tenuta San Guido

Le Difese, whose first vintage was released in 2002, is the most recent addition to the range at Tenuta San Guido.

Its name derives from the tusks of the wild boar, represented in gold on the label. It is the estate’s way of welcoming guests arriving from all over the world.

The wine expresses elegance, freshness, and excellent drinkability—fully in line with our oenological vision. Sangiovese, blended and enhanced with Cabernet Sauvignon, gives the wine its honest character and versatility at the table, making it a convivial, food-friendly choice.

A wine that stands out

CABERNET SAUVIGNON PAIRED WITH THE TUSCAN TOUCH OF SANGIOVESE

Together with the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at the estate, Sangiovese from various areas of Tuscany gives Le Difese a frank and balanced character, which pairs well with food and invites conviviality.

“A soft and youthful wine that also includes selected lots from Sassicaia and Guidalberto. Its approachable style and delicate structure make it extremely enjoyable even in the early months of bottle ageing.”

Carlo Paoli, Head of Winemaking at Tenuta San Guido
