SOIL STYLE


The soils on which the vineyards stand has varied and complex terrain features with a strong presence of limestone, feature areas rich in marl and pebbles as well as being partly clayey. The production facilities are located at an average altitude of between 80 and 400 metres above sea level, with a west/south-west exposure.

WEATHER TRENDS


Autumn was mild with a colder, rainy winter. Slightly early spring and summer characterised by normal, balanced temperature trends. There was an absence of rain and good weather until the completion of the harvest.

HARVESTING


The vines yielded excellent grapes.

FERMENTATION


Fermentation took place with maceration in 20 hectolitre oak vats for a duration of 8 days.

AGEING


Slavonian oak barrels (made in Conegliano, Veneto) were used for 16 months.
